Guru Sanchita Bhattacharya is the founder of Sanchitaa Odissi Dance Foundation in Kolkata (India ) and in also imparts Odissi talim (training) in USA , to upcoming danseuses , creating a conducive environment to an understanding of India's complex and vast cultural heritage, and while simultaneously, pushing those frontiers of understanding to their logical contemporary parameters.

Invited as resident lecturer at Antioch School in Ohio USA (the school for alternative education) to teach Odissi and the Indian philosophy, the culture, the mythology, the moral and the values that go with the dance.
   OMEGA institute, in New York is the world largest center in continuing education in holistic studies, which is visited by 30000 students every year, invites lecturers from eminent professionals all over the world. In the year 2003 amongst a galaxy of high profile lecturers like Jane Fonda, Dr Deepak Chopra, Margie Gilles etc, in the field on Indian Music and dance only Ustad Zakir Hussain was invited on the subject India percussion and Sanchita Bhattacharya in Odissi(Indian Classical dance)
   In Hull World Music concert (UK) mentioned earlier, Sanchita had to conduct a special workshop for the underprivileged children on special request from the organizers , when much interested was generated among these children after seeing her dance.

Lecture demonstrations at Duke University, The University of Colorado, Antioch collage, University of Alberta (Cannada), The University of North Carolina, The University of Brown, the University of Minnesota, University of Iowa etc. Sanchita has conducted workshops and lecture demonstrations at numerous places in India and abroad like Calcutta, Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi, Bhopal , Chandoshi etc in India and in UK, and several prestigious institutes in USA .
